Other Equipment and Devices
Miscellaneous Equipment and Devices for Palletizing, Boxing, Welding, Etc.
EK roboter has developed a significant number of devices that are part of the diversity of robotic cells designed, built and installed over the years. These devices include countless Grippers (tools attached to a robot for product handling), Automatic Separator Sheet Applicators, Bag Crushers, Automatic Frames for framing pallets with bags (Paper or Plastic), Cleaning Station for Arc welding torches and wire conditioning, etc..
Bag Palletizing Framing System
This automatic frame, which works in coordination with a robot, ensures that the palletizing of bags (plastic or paper) results in perfectly aligned pallet faces, thereby preventing the formation of unstable or improperly sized pallets.
Bag Flattener
This system is used to standardize the content of bagged products in paper or plastic, enabling the bags to be palletized without deforming the stack.
Grippers
We have designed and built grippers for picking a wide range of products, from the smallest to highly bulky and heavy items. Our range of grippers includes:
- Vacuum Gripper with Sectorization
- Vacuum Gripper with Sectorization and Automatic Width Adjustment
- Vacuum Grippers with Sectorization, Width Adjustment, and Rotation
- Blade Grippers for Picking Plastic Bottles/Drums
- Blade Grippers for Picking Ceramic Products
- Claw Grippers for Picking Bags
- Fork Grippers for Picking Shrink-Wrapped Packs
- Clamp Grippers for Aluminum Ingots
- Clamp Grippers with Width Adjustment for Cartoning FlowPacks
- Clamp Grippers for Assembly Processes
- Cup Grippers with or without Width Adjustment for Picking and Boxing Bottles (commonly used in bottling plants).
Basic Features of the Grippers
- High-strength anodized aluminum structure to reduce self-weight.
- High-quality recirculating ball linear guides.
- Top-brand suction cups, venturis, and vacuum pumps.
- Automatically switchable load zones to hold one, two, or more products as required by the operation program.
- Integrated top-brand pneumatic system.
- Servo movements for product orientation or self-adjustment, as needed.
- Integrated safety system that halts operation if a product is lost.
- Integrated anti-collision system, additional to the robot's system.
- Product presence sensors and actuator position sensors.
- Interconnection boxes for easy connection to the robot.
- High-precision, high-strength mounting flanges for robot installation.
Universal Torch Cleaning Station
The cleaning station consists of various devices for the complete conditioning of welding torches used in robotized MIG processes. This station allows, in a fully automated manner, the removal of:
- Weld spatter and slag located at the tip of the welding gun.
- Trimming of the welding wire.
- Application of anti-spatter spray to the cleaned area.
The station operates pneumatically, and its function is controlled via digital signals provided by the robot.
